Learning our A,B,C’s

Learning our A,B,C's

When I saw this image, it struck home, and gave me a good idea for a Ramadaan activity. The kids were asked to find a corresponding ‘Muslim’ word for every letter of the English alphabet. Little Miss doesn’t know the alphabet yet, but started randomnly shouting out ‘muslim words’ and we used them where appropriate. Little Man did a really good job!

So here’s our list:
A is for ALLAAH
B is for Barakah
C is for Charity
D is for Deen
Ε is for Eemaan
F is for Fasting
G is for Garden of Jannah
H is for Hajj (Little Miss)
I is for Islam
J is for Jumuah
K is for Ka’aba (Little Miss)
L is for Last Day (Qiyamah)
M is for Makkah (Little Miss)
N is for Noor
O is for Only One Allaah
P is for Prayers
Q is for Quraan
R is for Ramadaan
S is for Salaah (Little Miss)
T is for Taraweeh
U/V is for Ummah
W/X is for Wudhu
Y/Z is for Zakaah

It was really simple to do, but actually was a lot of fun as well.

  1. Slmz and ramadaan Mubarak my dearest Muslim sister. I really admire how you are so creative and clever in keeping the kids busy with activities regarding our deen and keeping the magic of ramadaan alive for them as well. Hoping you and your family have a wonderful ramadaan. #duas

    1. Wa alaykum salaam, and Ramadaan Mubarak to you and your family as well. ♡ Childhood should be a fun time, and if we can incorporate Deen into it, all the better! And while some of the ideas are mine, I have to admit to finding other ideas online and ‘adapting’ them to suit. If you have any ideas you’d like to share, please feel free to do so 🙂
