About

In a world that has become so rushed and chaotic, the innocence and magical fragility of childhood seems so rare. As a parent, I am trying (in a small measure) to maintain and preserve this special time for my own children. And at the same time, instill in them a strong, Islamic foundation, so that wherever they travel in this world, and whatever Allah has laid out for them, their faith, their Eemaan, will always be a rock which anchors them through any storm. This blog relays my personal experiences, and my attempt at good Islamic Parenting in this regard.

Abu Huraira, narrated that the Prophet said, “Every child is born with a true faith (i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone) but his parents convert him to other ways of life” Hadith – Bukhari 2.440, Narrated Ibn Shihabya

Our children are blessing from the Almighty and fill our lives with love and joy, but with every blessing comes huge responsibilty as well.

May Allah guide me and all parents to be able to maintain and sustain this natural disposition towards Tauheed, that He has instilled into our children. Ameen!

I write about a little bit of everything…from fun recipes to finding creative ways to teach children Islamic concepts, to personal anecdotes, book reviews, arts and crafts, printable Islamic resources, and product reviews.
